Book Material Restoration
by Leiann Day 28 Nov '22

28 Nov '22

Good Afternoon, Would you please let me know what companies have you used for book material restoration? When we have water damage or flood we are normally at the mercy of an emergency response contractor. Have you used a company other than a disaster response company like ServPro or Belfor when your book materials are water logged? Thanks Leiann Day, MBA, CPPO Procurement Manager Detroit Public Library 313.269.2148

Yoto Players
by EmmaLee Herlocher 28 Nov '22

28 Nov '22

Hi all, Does anyone have Yoto players <https://us.yotoplay.com/> in their collection? We have had some patrons express interest in them, but I am wondering how other libraries circulate them? We have LeapFrog readers that circulate where they get the pen and 3-5 books, which to me makes sense to circulate the Yoto similarly. But I could also see circulating just the cards for patrons who have their own Yotos at home. I also see that they connect to an app. Will they even work for circulation if patrons don't have the app access? Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated! More than happy to share responses! -- EmmaLee Herlocher Head of Youth and Teen Services White Lake Township Library 11005 Elizabeth Lake Road White Lake MI 48386 248-698-4942 whitelakelibrary.org

New Video Game Systems?
by Shira Pilarski 28 Nov '22

28 Nov '22

Hi everyone, Please excuse me if this has already been asked on Michlib, but I couldn't find anything in the archive. Is anyone purchasing games for the most recent systems, released in 2020 (i.e. PS5 and Xbox X/S series)? Are they circulating well? I am trying to determine whether to invest in the new systems for my library. Please reply to me only—if you would like the responses, I'm happy to compile and share. Thanks everyone! Shira

BARGAIN laminator material
by Perri Saunders 28 Nov '22

28 Nov '22

I have *four rolls* of lamination material (see attached) to sell. $50 for all. These are brand new. I realized when I needed to change the material, that I had purchased the wrong size. The ones I'm selling are 2 1/4" cores and 18" long. If you want pictures, I'm glad to send them. If you're interested, I can send one or all of them - you can pay after you check compatibility with your machine. Just trying to recoup something from my mistake. Thanks!
