Alex Thomas and Friends
by SF Director Account 01 Nov '22

01 Nov '22

Good afternoon, I wanted to share that we hosted Alex Thomas and Friends this past weekend for a Special Effects Makeup Workshop and our patrons had a blast. They are a little more expensive than we would normally pay but it was worth it to see the results. The program was $425 plus $100 in transport costs from the east side of the state. Attached are our pictures from the program. Thanks, Matt Lubbers-Moore, Director Fruitport District Library (231) 366-6107 www.fruitportdistrictlibrary.org

Searching for Spanish titles and audiobooks
by Lorry Traver 01 Nov '22

01 Nov '22

Hi library land, Thank you for your constant help any time I ask for advice with library things. This time around, I am looking for help in finding Spanish and bilingual titles for ages 0-18. We recently received a small donation for these materials and I am doing as much research as possible prior to ordering the items. I am searching for audios that would help in learning English and or Spanish for various ages. I am also searching for young adult titles in either print or audio, along with various nonfiction materials. Thank you in advance for your help. If you have specific titles that were recently published (no older than 2018 if possible) or perhaps useful websites or other resources you utilize in selecting these materials and could share this information with me, I would greatly appreciate it. -- "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child." - Dr. Seuss *Lorry Traver* Youth Services Coordinator Ruth Hughes Memorial District Library 211 N. Chrome device usage stats
by Stacy Pasche 01 Nov '22

01 Nov '22

Hello, I am hoping there is a Chrome expert out there who can help me. We have 3 chromebox devices we've been using for public internet stations. I have them configured in kiosk settings. I can't seem to find a way to get usage statistics from them- for example, each time a patron uses one, it is considered a session. I'd like to know how many sessions per month. Perhaps the time used as well. If anyone knows how to get usage stats from chrome devices, please contact me. Many thanks! -- Stacy Pasche, MLS she/her/hers Library Director *Benzie Shores District Library* *630 Main St.* *Frankfort, MI 49635* *ph: (231) 352-4671* *"Sometimes it's fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney*
