Unopened Ink Toner Available
by Blair Nelson 15 Feb '24

15 Feb '24

Hi everyone, We have a new, never-used, black toner cartridge available specifically for an MLT-D304E Series Samsung printer ProXpress. We no longer have the printer. The toner was purchased last on 6-21-21. We paid $377.36 for it, so I'm hoping to get half of what we paid. We can potentially bargain, too. We will ship the toner to you. Thank you, Blair Nelson he/his Director Spies Public Library P: (906) 863-2900 bnelson(a)spiespubliclibrary.org www.spiespubliclibrary.org<http://www.spiespubliclibrary.org/> "The life of every person is a diary in which we mean to write one story, and write another; and our humblest hour is when we compare the volume as it is with what we vowed to make it"-James M. Sponsored Storywalk Posts
by Justine Peterson 15 Feb '24

15 Feb '24

Hello Library land! We're hoping to get our Storywalk up and running soon, and initially, my township had agreed to go in on the project, but after talking with their supervisor recently, I don't believe that's their plan any more. This isn't necessarily a problem, as I have a few grants lined up that I want to apply for, but it was brought up that maybe local businesses or individuals could chip in and purchase individual posts. I'm all for community participation, and it would take some of the financial burden off the library, but I worry that some of the businesses that were mentioned could rock the boat, and we've managed to keep pretty lowkey. Like many places, our community has some opinions on marijuana provisionaries, a lot of them negative. I'm concerned that having prospective provisionaries sponsor Storywalk posts might lead to some tension, to say the least. Has anyone else had something like this pop up? When it comes to your Storywalks, did anyone want to pay for a post? Would it be easier to just tackle this on our own as the library? I wish I could come to the hive mind with a less-weird question, but I'm feeling a little stumped with this one! Thanks, *Justine Peterson* (she/her) Library Director Seville Township Library Riverdale, MI 48877 P: 989.833.7776 seville.michlibrary.org

Good morning, Does anyone out there offer locker pickup for holds with regular metal locks, rather than digital or smart lockers? I am curious to know how frequently you update your lock combinations and how you keep records for this. *Rebecca Barker* *Business Manager* Manistee County Library 95 Maple Street Manistee, MI 49660 'Without libraries, what have we? Program Recommendation: Laurel Day and Charcuterie
by Adrianne Schinkai 15 Feb '24

15 Feb '24

Good morning everyone, Last week, Comstock Township Library hosted Laurel Day, AKA the Do Something Lady, for a program on how to make a beautiful charcuterie board for Valentine's Day. Not only was Miss Day bubbly and a wonderful person to speak with, she was knowledgeable and a pleasure to watch. She showed us techniques for presenting different selected items, how to go about selecting items, and more. Plus by the end, everyone was stuffed! If you would like to see a bit of her work, check out her Instagram page at dosomethinglady and see the gorgeous tray she put together (attached photo, *not Photoshopped*). She can be contacted at dosomethinglady(a)gmail.com. -- *Adrianne M.
