Good afternoon! Bridgman Public Library will have an open cataloging position at the end of February. Please see the attached job description for details. BPL offers PT staff paid Life & Disability Insurance, paid time off that accumulates at a rate of 1 hour every 15 hours worked, paid holidays, and access to an optional 457 retirement plan. The Midwest Collaborative for Library Services is looking for your input as we craft our strategic plan. As we look to shape the future, we invite you to join us for our Listening Tour in late February and early March. We have ten 90-minute Listening Sessions planned where you can share your wisdom and creativity to help us co-create our next chapter together. Hi All, As part of the Library of Michigan's role in supporting the development, maintenance, and promotion of local collections at libraries and historical organizations across the state, we have recently created the MiLocalHistory listserv to provide an online forum for local history librarians and other practitioners: https://mail3.mcls.org/mailman/listinfo/mi-local-history Participants are encouraged to use the listserv to: * Exchange ideas. * Stimulate conversation. * Ask questions related to the management of local history collections. * Offer duplicate or unneeded local history materials to other institutions or groups. YA(?) book stumper

Hello all, I was approached by a patron over the weekend with a book stumper, and I was hoping the librarian hivemind could point me towards some leads! This patron was 18 years old, and he read the book about 4 years ago, so we're looking at a publication date of 2020 or earlier. He checked it out from his high school library, so we're operating under the assumption it was YA, but he wasn't sure. It's some sort of mystery/thriller, but the only thing that stood out in his mind was *the book is written in two altering perspectives and one is in second person*. He was hoping this was a memorable enough detail that someone would remember it. I know it's not a lot to go on, but if you remember any books along this line, feel free to send me the names!
