Table for Sale
by Cory Grimminck 09 May '18

09 May '18

Hello! A few years ago, we re-decorated our teen room, which led to us having an extra, round, wooden table. We've shifted it all over the library, but it has become clear that we no longer have the space for it. So, we are selling the table for $50, or best offer. The table is 50" in diameter, and stands 29" high. I will attach a photo. You can have four of the wooden chairs shown if you want them, but you do not have to take them if you don't. Also, you would have to pick it up. Thanks, Cory Grimminck Portland District Library

Generators for the library
by Kate Van Auken 09 May '18

09 May '18

Good afternoon all! I am searching for libraries who have generators for their whole facility. After the recent ice storm and last weekends winds in our area, our small community lost power both times, and there are still some without power today. There is no place in our town for people to go, especially the elderly if they live alone, when this happens. I have been mulling around the idea of the library as a place for people to come if this happens again. We are not trying to be a Red Cross site, this would be on a temporary basis like 24-36 hours type of thing. Does anyone out there provide this type of community service? I'd love to hear from you. Please respond off list...please and thank you! Kate 6495 Pine Street Cass City, MI 48726 989-872-2856 989-872-4073 fax

Blu-ray shelving
by Jessica Parij 09 May '18

09 May '18

Good morning all, For those of you who circulate Blu-rays, do you interfile them with your DVDs, or do you have a separate section for them? We've had them for about 6 months and currently have them interfiled, but I am wondering if separating them out will help them circ better. Thanks! -- *Jessica Parij* *Adult Services Manager* Rochester Hills Public Library 248-650-7132

Library millage results
by Lisa Waskin 09 May '18

09 May '18

I want to thank the DeTour Township community for their overwhelming support of the library millage increase and addition to the Superior District Library. The vote was 130 yes to 22 no. This is about half the town turning out to vote! Very happy they feel the library is an important part of the community. Lisa Waskin, Director Superior District Library 541 Library Drive Sault Ste.
