The countdown is on for MLA’s Fall Institute for Youth Services<https://www.milibraries.org/spring-institute>, this October 27, and MLA 2020 Virtual Conference<https://www.milibraries.org/annual-conference>, October 28-29. We are excited to gather virtually with the Michigan library community next month and we don't want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to attend because of financial reasons. MLA provides close to $10,000 annually for librarians and support staff at any Michigan library to attend MLA events. There are two specific funds that provide scholarships – the MLA Education Fund and the MLA/MALC Academic Library Fund. Individual members of MLA are eligible for MLA Education Fund and MLA/MALC Academic Library Fund scholarships. Scholarship applications are due this Friday, September 25. Homebound Services Questions Compiled #2

Hey Everyone, I received some great information after I sent out my original compilation and since I had a few people asking for the results from my original email with the questions, I thought I would compile the new information and send it out again. Some of these libraries are sending things through the mail and not having them delivered but I included them in my compilation anyway. I also received several application examples and other information from various libraries along with answers to my questions, so I created a folder in google drive with all of the information that I received in it. Filming kit recommendations

We are doing a lot of virtual programs like everyone else and we were looking to buy a better filming setup than what we have right now. Currently we are borrowing a tripod/ ring light and we are using green paper for a green screen background. We would like to buy a portable green screen, a ring light on a tripod and some sort of additional lighting for a semi-portable filming kit. We already have a very good camera that takes video, so we don't need anything like that. Does anyone already have a similar setup and have any recommendations on specific equipment? Is there another piece of equipment we should consider buying? Thank you in advance for your help.
