The Clinton-Macomb Public Library is looking to hire multiple new substitute librarians to work at any of our locations (Main Library: Adult Nonfiction, Children's Services, Popular Materials; North Branch Reference, South Branch Reference). This is also a great opportunity for students who are close to completion of their MSI degree and want an opportunity to gain field experience in a thriving public library. Are you a member of the Michigan library community that loves to create? If so, consider designing a logo to submit for the 2016 Loleta Fyan Small and Rural Libraries Conference Logo contest. The winning member of the Michigan library community will receive a complimentary registration to the conference and have their design included in the printed program. The 2016 Loleta Fyan Small and Rural Libraries Conference is scheduled for May 4-6, 2016 at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. The theme for the 2014 RLC is "Transforming Libraries, Transforming Lives." Wilsonstak Hinged Periodical Display fronts free to a good home

We have Wilsonstak shelving that came with hinged Periodical Display fronts (brown in color). We have use for only a handful of the Periodical Display fronts that came with the shelving. If you have this type of shelving and have a use for hinged Periodical Display fronts (along with the brackets to attach them to your shelving), contact me off list and tell me how many you would like. We probably have about 200 of them that need to find a new home. You can take all or part of what we have. You would just need to arrange for pick-up of these fronts. Barb has written Discovering Michigan County by County: Your A-Z Guide to Each of the 83 Counties in the Great Lakes State. She is an enthusiastic speaker with a wealth of knowledge about our state. Barb has been very well received at many libraries. She offers her services for free(!), only expecting to be reimbursed for mileage (.50 per mile) and to be able to sell her books at the end of her program.
