Employment Opportunity: Head of Youth Services forGeorgetown Township Public Library located in eastern Ottawa County andsuburban Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Head of Youth Services performsprofessional and supervisory work in planning, implementing, and managing acomprehensive program of library service to children and teens and is responsible for allactivities assigned to the Youth Services Department, includingcollection development, services, and programs. Position reports to the Library Director. Requirements: Masters degree in Library Science from anALA accredited institution with progressively responsible professional libraryexperience, including youth services, general reference, collection development, administrative, department head, and supervisory experience. Programming skills are highly desired. A workingknowledge/understanding of the principles, methods, and practices of publiclibrary service, including searching methods, readers advisory, and referenceinterviews/sources. Excellent customer service and interpersonal communicationskills. Candidates must possess or beeligible for Level 2 certification through the Library of Michigan. Work scheduleincludes evenings and Saturdays. This is a salaried position (40+ hours per week) with a benefitpackage. Starting salary is $45,000. 3M tattle tape DAC-1 Can you use it?

Hi:Still cleaning cupboards. We found three boxes of 3M Tattle-tape DAC-1 for cassette tapes. I have no idea of how many strips are left in each box. A couple of them have the blank labels in the box that you use to cover the strips. One box does not have any labels. Does anyone out there still have cassette tapes in their collection? If so, do you use 3M security strips on them? These boxes have been in our cupboard for an unknown period of time, but I would guess, around 15 years. If you would like to have them, I would be very happy to send them to you. Please include your Rides code. Hinged tape free to a good home

Hi.We have been cleaning cupboards and drawers in the office. We discovered two rolls of hinged tape. I can't tell you exactly what they are, but they most likely came from Demco in the past century. Perhaps around the late '80s or early '90s. One is a single layer of tape with a perforation down the middle. The other is two strips of tape, back to back, glued side out, with a line of stitching down the middle. Looks like an X when you open it. Free to the first person to say that they would like them. NetNanny

Hi all; We are once again in the situation of having to replace our filtering system. If your library uses NetNanny or has used it in the past, could you please let me know the good/bad of it? In particular: Do/did you experience a slowing of your internet when using NetNanny? How does it work with Deep Freeze? Any issues between the two? Note: we are a small class II library with 8 filtered, 2 unfiltered and 2 staff computers (no in-house server). Any info and opinions would be greatly appreciated.
