Next week is the last week to submit your summer reading numbers and program comments. The surveys will be open through 9/30. For those of you who haven't had a chance to submit a survey, please do so. The Big Rapids Community Library recently completed a 1 million dollar renovation and strives to meet the needs of its community. Duties would include: Coordinate/oversee circulation processes, policies, personnel and activities; assist in the preparation of new materials for use in the library; maintain day-to-day library activities; assist in preparing reports; use of information technology equipment; attend Library Board meetings and prepare minutes; assist the Library Director in various administrative matters; and to perform related work as required. Starting salary $34,500-$38,000 Dependent on Qualifications. Required education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred but not required: MLS degree or a Michigan Certificate of Library Experience. One year library experience is also preferred. As hopefully most of you know the Library of Michigan issued an RFP earlier this year for core subscription content for MeL. The process is detailed at, http://michigan.gov/2015melrfp.
