POSITION: Information Technology Support Specialist I, Software – Full-time (35 hours per week). May include evening and weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday). QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software and website management tools; Demonstrated knowledge of Windows 10; Excellent communication skills and positive public service commitment; Experience or working knowledge of front-end development languages (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP) in addition to MySQL, website design principles and graphics creation software; Good collaboration skills; Demonstrated ability to use office productivity software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to design and maintain websites and their content; Provides updates, reports, and manages the ADA compliance of website; Responsible for the system-wide network equipment, including the servers, workstations, peripherals, software, etc.; Provides system administration and maintenance for windows-based multi-server environment (DNS, DHCP, file sharing, active directory, etc.); Responsible for cable maintenance throughout facilities; Installs software and hardware throughout facilities. Responsible for upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting of software and hardware; Maintains integrity of the system using appropriate security measures. Recommends enhancements to security measures as needed; Responsible for working with outside vendors for repair and maintenance of the computer network and telecommunications as needed; Spearheads research and development for the library’s computer network and systems; Creates, updates, and maintains inventory records for all software and hardware. Winter story time sessions - what are you all doing?

Hi all, I am just curious what others' plans are moving forward with winter story time? I am doing live virtual story time sessions, however we are struggling with copyright permission timelines which may mean not being able to read books at our January story times. I was wondering what everyone else is planning to do moving forward? Are you having virtual story times? Are you back to in-person stories? CIDL is looking for a Full-Time School Outreach Librarian! Hours: 40 hours per week, includes some weekends and evenings Salary: $43,000-$57,000 depending on qualifications and experience Benefits: Health, dental, optical insurance; disability and life insurance; vacation, sick and personal days; retirement plan.
