I'm excited to share this amazing new resources from my colleagues in Wisconsin: The long-awaited Digital Readiness Toolkit<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Frecollect…> has launched and available for use! This revised and expanded set of tools, guidelines, examples, templates, and other resources is a complete guide to creating and tending a digital collection. The Toolkit was developed specifically to meet the needs of small cultural heritage organizations and is freely available for anyone to use. Every stage of the Toolkit's development, from planning to design to review to testing, was driven by community input. This work was supported in part by grants to WiLS, in partnership with Recollection Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Historical Society, from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC). The first images from JWST are scheduled to be released July 12. These are the expert panels that I mentioned in my last post. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and the Space Telescope Science Institute will host two expert panels to talk about the first images and answer questions. Comic Book Fair at Hartford Library

The Hartford Public Library is sponsoring its first Comic Book Fair on Saturday, July 23 from 10am to 3pm. This fair is free for everyone. At 11am we have "Math Man" by Marvel comic illustrator, Jerry DeCaire. A fascinating program which demonstrates a practical application of science and math. Jerry show how he uses his knowledge of science and math to create his Super Heroes. An internationally renowned artist, Jerry is also a Michigan native so he loves sharing his art with Michigan students. This is a line drawing performance.Please share this information.
