I think we've seen that the last few years, for sure. However, there's still a segment of the population that is actively checking out DVD's at my library. It'll be interesting to see where we go from here. That's a good point about it being an Apple film.... I'm honestly surprised that greed hasn't kept more movies being released on DVD, to be honest. Thanks! Hello all, I'm wondering if any of you have 'the scoop' on a possible dvd release date for this title? I've looked everywhere I know to look, and have only seen one mention on dvdsreleasedates.com that I *know* is wrong.... Let me know! Thanks in advance. Library Carpeting - Compiled Answers
by Bret Boulter 26 Feb '24

26 Feb '24

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback; it was a gold mine of information! All responses are compiled in the attached PDF, with this summary: - Carpet tiles are consistently recommended. If you get extras you can replace them as needed. - Library Design Associates has equipment which can move shelving without removing the books. They also have designers available. This is an incredible resource, recommended several times. - Shaw Construction out of Livonia, MI also gets a recommendation. - You may or may not need an RFP process depending on your situation. If you need to do an RFP and don't have experience, think about retaining a project management company. - Break it into stages if necessary/possible, and keep patrons informed throughout the entire process, using pictures, displays, social media, and word-of-mouth. - If breaking into stages, try to make the divisions at logical places between shelving areas. - If staying open during the process, expect long hours! Thanks again to everyone who contributed, I can't imagine proceeding effectively without all this valuable input. Free Mic Set - Missed Wireless Receiver

Hello, We have a two set of wireless mics for FREE. Catch is- the receiver is broken. May be able to repair or pair with a different wireless receiver? (TBH, I don't know that much about audio equipment, so repairing/re-pairing is beyond my skill level) The mics themselves are in great shape and have only been used a few times. Library of Michigan Book Offers 2024
by Bacon, Betsy (MDE) 26 Feb '24

26 Feb '24

Hello - the Library of Michigan has free materials we are offering to the library community. To take advantage of this opportunity, see the information below and the attached spreadsheet. Feel free to forward this message to other library groups or listservs within Michigan. Content and condition The titles listed are extra copies of fiction and non-fiction (hard and soft cover) books submitted to the Michigan Notable Books program over the last year and either contain Michigan content and/or were written by a Michigan author. Also available are items weeded from our collections and donated materials we cannot use. Most of the non-MNB items are old library books and come with library markings/stickers but are otherwise in the condition noted on the spreadsheet. If you'd like to only consider the newer books, you can either sort by condition or publication year. How to request Please submit requests by email to baconb1(a)michigan.gov<mailto:baconb1@michigan.gov> . If you are local or passing through, you are welcome to schedule a time to select and claim materials on-site from 9am-5pm, Mon.-Fri. Email baconb1(a)michigan.gov<mailto:baconb1@michigan.gov> if you want to schedule a visit. Email requests are handled on a first-come basis by date and time. Some, or all requested materials may no longer be available at the point we receive your email. It may take a couple weeks to process the requests, depending on staff time and availability of RIDES totes. I will send you an email when I am able to ship the materials to you. Shipping We prefer to ship items via RIDES. If you are not in the RIDES system, we can ship via UPS and we will cover the cost of shipment. Email requests must include the title as noted on the spreadsheet, how many copies you want (if applicable), RIDES code or a delivery address (street address only, no P.O. box), contact name, phone number and email address. Emails should be directed to baconb1(a)michigan.gov<mailto:baconb1@michigan.gov> . Deadline If you are interested in any of these materials, please respond to this email no later than March 18th, 2024. Materials will be shipped as soon as time and resources allow. Thanks for your time, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
