Microfilm Maintenance Vendors?
by Ted Gregory 01 Apr '24

01 Apr '24

Hello, We at the Mackinaw Area Public Library recently discovered one of our newspaper archives on microfilm is cracked and splitting. Obviously we don't want the entire reel out of commission, so does anybody know of a service that might be able to repair it, by splicing out the break if nothing else? Thanks in advance, -- Ted Gregory Mackinaw Area Public Library mackinaw1(a)gmail.com Find us online at http://www.mackinawareapl.michlibrary.org/ <http://mackinawareapubliclibrary.org/> and on Facebook! 528 W. Investigating Indian Language Vendors for Juvenile Collections
by Cherie Edmonds 28 Mar '24

28 Mar '24

Hello, I'm doing an investigation to see if there are better options for Indian language vendors (specifically looking for juvenile collections) other than DK Agencies. If you work with someone other than DK for Indian language materials can you tell me: * What is their pricing like? * What is the ordering process like? * How is the customer service experience? * Do the books come with catalog records, or do you use another method for cataloging? * If the books don't come with catalog records, can you provide details and pricing for how you handle cataloging those materials?
