Nourishing Minds initiative - teen mental health

Is teen mental health something you are thinking about? Would you like to gain skills in building positive teen well-being? As a part of the IMLS-funded<https://www.imls.gov/sites/default/files/project-proposals/LG-252306-OLS-22…> Nourishing Minds initiative, The Seattle Public Library is seeking six U.S. public libraries to participate in a series of activities over the next year that will give library staff the opportunity to: * Build strategies for proactively creating services in support of teen mental health. * Move away from a crisis approach to teen mental health. * Attend a series of participatory design training sessions and build skills in support of teen mental health. * Receive coaching from Meridian Library District (ID) and Charles County Public Library (MD) staff. * Facilitate a programming series in support of teen mental health and library space that support teen mental health. Those selected to participate will receive a $6000 stipend to use in support of learning about and providing services in support of teen mental health. Onboarding of selected library staff begins in November 2023, learning sessions for selected staff will begin in early 2024, and libraries selected will facilitate their mental health centered programs from February through July 2024. Catalog local collections

Hi! Can anyone provide or point me to an example of a library collection catalog that includes the holdings of other organizations, such as a historical society or museum collection? It's long been a dream of mine to create such a resource. I've asked a colleague about simply adding a site location and got a lot of reasons why it wouldn't be a good idea, but I hear that a lot about my ideas. Librarian Assistant (Adult & Teen Services) Education: Bachelor's Degree in English/History or any related subject Desirable: Prior public library experience but not required Nature of the Work As a member of the Library's Adult & Teen Services Team, this individual reports to the Heads of Adult & Teen Services and is charged with the responsibility of selecting, acquiring, classifying, and maintaining library materials; planning and delivering client-centered programs; and furnishing reference, bibliographical, and readers' advisory services. May assist the Department Head in performing in-depth, strategic research, and synthesize, analyze, and edit information. This position requires examining, analyzing, and evaluating facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems, situations or transactions, and determining actions to be taken within the within the limits of standard, library policies, or accepted practices. This individual plans and prioritizes work and is expected to solve problems by adapting methods or interpreting instructions.
