Wine as an Adult Summer Reading Prize?
by Autumn Smith 02 Apr '25

02 Apr '25

Greetings, Library Land! Every year, local businesses donate items for prize baskets for Summer Reading. This year, a local business person who travels frequently to Paris would like to donate some bottles of Parisian wine for an adult prize. Has any other library had experience with prizes that contain alcohol? Any information is greatly appreciated! We have this outside right now, since we have no space inside, but I believe it's really for use indoors, and it does not lock. Any chance anyone has any use for it? Book Club Set
by Lynne Clark 01 Apr '25

01 Apr '25

Hello! We have a set of 10 hardcover books (two are large print) of the book, "Libertie" by Kaitlyn Greenidge. They are in good shape and available for free! It is a story of the coming of age free-born Black girl in Reconstruction-era Brooklyn. She feels stifled by her mother's choices and is hungry for something else. If you can use them, I can send them through Rides. -- *Lynne Clark, Director* *River Rapids Library/Chesaning*
