Looking for a musical
by Tracy Wilson 21 Jan '15

21 Jan '15

Hi all, I had a younger patron come in yesterday looking for a musical she saw in a choir class last year, but she can't remember the title. Here's what she remembers: The main character commits a crime and has to stay out of the city - he goes somewhere to hide - she thinks it's Virginia. She also remembers a scene with a group of women shopping for fabric to make a dress (maybe a wedding dress) and the women make fun of the person making the dress - she remembers them calling her chicken legs. She also said the musical was really old, but she also said another movie from 2006 was really old (she's 12) so take that part with a grain of salt. Does anyone know this musical? Thanks! Tracy

RFP template
by Kay Schwartz 21 Jan '15

Trish, I do not have an RFP but have a couple of vendors to whom you should send it - Knight Technology Group is our outside network engineering firm and, though a small company, Ken and his assistants are excellent and extremely well qualified, install lots and lots of servers and networks so they know the latest and newest info and requirements - have been virtualizing our system gradually over the last year and are almost done. We didn't do an RFP because we work with them regularly so just engaged them to do this extra work for us. ( I think they work with Christine Hage also) Ken Rutyna Knight Technology Group http://www.ktg-corp.com/ They are based in Royal Oak but can work anywhere up and down I-75 easily. FPL has worked with them for 10+ years. Another great tech company - if anything happened to Knight, I'd be working with them - they already do our Erate and have done for 5+ years: John Foster Convergent Technology Partners http://www.ctpartners.net/ Based in Flint Kay ------------------------------------------------------------------ Kay Schwartz Director Flint Public Library, 1026 E. Hi All-well, yes indeed-there are now non-fiction ebooks available in SIRS Discoverer in MeL: http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-proq.php?database=SIRS… When you've connected, just look in the "Database Features" box and you'll see the link. Categories covered include: Animals, Arts & Humanities, Biographies, Curriculum Activities, Environment, Health & Human Body, History & Government, Science, Sports, and Technology. All ebooks are Lexile scored. But wait! There's more! SIRS Discoverer also has Pro/Con Leading Issues covering a wide variety of topics and Animal Facts (including photos).
