Please excuse cross-posting. We have an incomplete set of SAE papers to give away. They are mainly from 1980-1998. There are also a few from earlier years. The number of papers are less then 6 linear feet. We were wondering if anyone might be interested having these papers. If you are interested in acquiring these papers please let me know. Library Scholarship
by Julie Grynwich 14 May '15

14 May '15

Unfortunately, one of our board members passed away recently. We received donations in his name, and the family would like to set up a scholarship through the library, or our Friends, that would be available to two graduating seniors (in our school district) each spring. To keep the scholarship going the family would hold a fundraiser each year, such as a softball tournament. At this time the donations total almost $3000, so we could begin this year, as the family has requested. The family feels that a separate bank account should be established, and future donations could be deposited in this account. The board member has 8 children, two of which, are lawyers. The man who is requesting this is a lawyer, and believes this can be done legally, as long as donations are used. I wonder if any other library does this, and if so, I would like to hear about your experience. Also, if there are any reasons why this is not a good idea, I'd sure like to know that, soon! Braille FAFSA Books
by Anna Curtis 14 May '15

14 May '15

Hi, We received one copy of both the 2015-2016 FAFSA Application and the Web Worksheet (both in Braille) by mistake. I spoke with the Education Publication Department that sent them to us and they do not want them back. We don't have a need for either, but am hoping someone on here may. Please let me know if you would like me to send either or both books to your Library. Thanks! Anna M. Curtis, Director City of Eaton Rapids Public Library 220 S. Summer Reading advice
by Galesburg Charleston Memorial District Library 14 May '15

14 May '15

I know that I am late, late, late, but I need some final SRP info - I would like to know how smaller (Class 3 / Class 4) libraries are formatting their reading programs - - How do you track reading - by books / pages / minutes (time)? - Do you give prizes at different levels? - What are you giving for prizes? Does everyone get the same prizes? Thanks in advance for your replies (off-list is probably best)! 😉 Helena Hayes, Director Galesburg Charleston Memorial District Library 188 E.
