Looking for a bindery
by Caryn Noel 03 Feb '16

03 Feb '16

Hello - Looking for a bindery to bind just a few, small (6x9) periodicals in a flat glued binding - like a softbound book. Bessenberg is out - they'll only do a hardbound compilation. Also, this faculty member won't allow for spiral bound or anything too "catchy" for his library shelf. His word, not mine, but I take the point - he'd like a binding with some staying power. I have the files in pdf format. Any names come to mind? Many thanks in advance, Caryn Caryn Noel Library Director Adam Cardinal Maida Alumni Library 248-706-4212 (phone) 248-683-0526 (fax) cnoel(a)sscms.edu http://www.orchardlakelibrary.com/

Re: [Michlib-l] Staff Pay and Raises
by Anna Curtis 03 Feb '16

03 Feb '16

I was asked to clarify what I meant by Library Assistant. At my Library they are individuals without their MLS that perform "professional" duties. They are in charge of MeL, programming, cataloging and general library tasks (i.e. check in/out, shelving, overdue notices, desk work, etc.). I hope this helps and thank you to those that have already responded! Anna M. Curtis, Director City of Eaton Rapids Public Library 220 S. How much an hour do your Library Assistants make? How often do they receive raises? How much more an hour more do they get when they do receive a raise? Thank you, Anna M.
