Yes! Absolutely! Aimee Ankin at Fishbeck Thompson Carr and Huber did a great job for us -- exactly what we wanted for this 126 year old building. Might not be your taste, but it was ours and we got just what we wanted, and even better. We're still getting compliments 4 years later. She's listens; she really knows sources and finishes and people; she's easy to work with and gets back to you; she's fantastic! Aimee L. Hello Librarians! My name is Jessica Curtis and I'm a reference librarian at the Westerville Public Library in Ohio as well as a teacher at the Kent State University School of Information and Library Science. I'm attempting to gather data for an article regarding library education and pedagogy (teaching adult services/reference/academic librarians how to teach) in order to write an article. The link below contains a form with just ten questions. Please take a moment and contribute your thoughts and opinions. There is a short explanation at the beginning of the form: https://goo.gl/forms/VD3PRlbBzRD7St4n1 I appreciate your time and consideration. E-Rate modernization order report released by FCC
by Norris, Sonya (MDE) 24 Jan '17

24 Jan '17

A recent memo highlighting the achievements of the E-Rate modernization orders has revealed the following: Michigan received a 232% increase in Category 2 funding (for internal connections needed to enable high-speed broadband connectivity) and that nearly 50,000 schools and libraries nation-wide received Wi‐Fi support in 2015, compared to zero in funding years 2013 and 2014. The memo also reports a drop in the median price of connectivity per Mbps from $22.00 in 2013 to $11.73 in 2015 and $7.05 in 2016. The report also points out that Category 2 budgets will begin to expire in 2019 and action to fund the program is therefore needed.
