Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council Cecilia Muñoz (AB '84) returns to the University of Michigan to chair a panel of public servants from rebounding Midwestern cities: Detroit, Michigan; Gary, Indiana; and Youngstown, Ohio. Each provides an example of the Obama Administration's "place-based" approach in action. Nutrition presentation - recommended

Hello neighbor libraries, We just had an excellent presentation at our library called "Clean Eating: Protect Your Wellbeing in a Processed World." Deborah Lieder is a local chef focused on whole foods for a healthy lifestyle. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and explained some of the cell science behind highly processed foods and their effects on our bodies. She touched on GMOs, pesticides, and the pros and cons of today's most popular diets. Overall, it was an excellent wellbeing segment that I highly recommend to our neighbor libraries. Deborah was reasonably priced and absolutely wonderful! Here's a scan of her business card if anyone would like to contact her for a segment.
