Free Tables
by Mary Cowles 09 Feb '26

09 Feb '26

Hello library land, Do you have a need for sturdy tables for youth crafting, tutoring programs, or even a library café space? We currently have four round tables available, each 46 inches in diameter and equipped with wheels. The tables are in good condition and have served us well. I will say- they are difficult to fold down and require some strength. It would be perfect if you needed a table out all the time or if you are a librarian who lifts. If your library could put these tables to good use, please feel free to reach out for more details. They are FREE but need to be picked up. Have a great weekend! This workshop will delve into what quality preservation metadata consists of and how it may change and evolve over time. Our focus will be on creating and maintaining quality digital preservation metadata for born-digital and digitized content, while touching on the foundational aspects of metadata in general. Standards and models covered include PREMIS, METS, and the OAIS model. Instructor bios: Alexandra Provo is a Research Curation Librarian at New York University’s Division of Libraries and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, where she teaches INFO-663: Metadata Design.
