Dear Summer Library Program Coordinators, The 2020 Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) End-of-Summer Survey is open and ready for your input! The 2020 CSLP End-of-Summer Survey is now open through Friday, September 25, 2020. This is the link to the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdqwRQuxtvf1yrjDP9Wm9u3iTEpMuL79ve… The survey covers three age groups, Children's (0-11), Teens (12-18), and Adults (19+) [age categories as defined by the Institute of Museum and Library Services]. Questions include: * How your library tracks participation in your summer library program. * Total number in each of the three age groups who participated in your summer library program. * Total number in each age group who completed the minimum goal. * Total number of summer library program themed events for each age group. * Total number of individuals attending summer library program themed events for each age group. * Ways your library adapted programming in response to the global health crisis. * Your suggestions, ideas and feedback for summer library program themes for 2022 and beyond. The survey questions are attached as a PDF if you'd like to see them ahead of time. (If you're on daily digest mode attachments don't come through so just write me for a copy) CSLP works with libraries to create an inclusive literacy based program that is enjoyable for all ages, provide a reproducible program with a unified theme, share resources and offer professional support. MI Symptoms--free entry screening for employers

Hi everyone, I’m forwarding this information on to all of you in the event that you may have missed this wonderful, free program that provides entry screening for employers. We have been using it at Brandon Library since we returned to work and we are thrilled with the results. We do not have to ask staff the required COVID-19 questions at the back door, because they do it from their phones or from home before they come into the library. I then get daily email reports that I can print out for the required record-keeping. I am not aware of any colleagues who might be using the system, so I asked the MI Symptoms team if I could send this out because I’m a huge advocate for anything that is free, saves time, easy to use, and will automatically change when the requirements change. I vaguely remember it being from the dogs perspective. The dog breed was either a Weimaraner, Chocolate lab, or Chesapeake bay retriever.
