Good morning, everyone! I wanted to gather some information regarding any policies your library may have for using alcohol in your programs. I wanted to organize a presentation with faculty in the Brewing Science department at Schoolcraft College followed by a beer tasting. I'd be interested in how you may have handled similar programs at your libraries or your policies as a whole about alcohol on site for programs. Annual Fall Survey- Evaluation of LSTA funded Services and Programs

The Library of Michigan collects evaluation feedback of our services each year so we can provide data to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) as a requirement of our Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding grant. Internet Outage

Hi everyone, our library had an internet outage for most of the day the other day. I was wondering if anyone had a policy regarding internet outage? Do you still allow patrons to check items out? When this happened to us, we had just gotten out a slip of paper and written everything down by hand, and then had huge piles of books lying around that needed to be checked in. Good evening, Library Land! Thank you to everyone who sent program suggestions for tweens and teens. There is SO much amazing work being done out there to serve this age group! I feel so inspired and excited to start the work to best serve my tween/teen population here at our library. GSA employment is designed to provide a professional hands-on learning experience in an academic library setting. GSAs divide their time between providing direct user assistance at physical and virtual information/reference service points and special projects throughout the library system. Tween/Teen Program Suggestions???

Hello, We do all our web stuff in house. We're a very small library but I created our website on wordpress using Elementor 3 years ago (I'm a graphic designer with experience building websites). For the last few months, I've been re-working the website to be ADA compliant. This has been a little tricky because Elementor doesn't give you access to html coding for most of the site. But they've been making some changes and it is getting easier to make the changes I need in regards to Aria-labels, etc. Still working on the skip links and homepage though. I use google lighthouse to check my compliance as I work. All the advice I've learned on becoming ADA web compliant suggests starting from scratch but since we had just done a total overhaul, I wasn't willing to do that and frankly it's worked out fine for us.
