MCLS's popular virtual dialogues are coming back, and we want to know: What do you want to talk about? One of the bright spots during the early days of the pandemic was our virtual dialogue series, and we are thrilled to bring them back. The Engagement, Consulting, and Training Team will host a dialogue every other month, beginning in January 2023, to give staff at all levels and from libraries of all types an opportunity to connect around the topics that are important to you. Our first dialogue is scheduled for January 17 at 10:30 a.m.; watch for registration soon. We are looking forward to this great opportunity and hope to see you there! Chinese Books Available

Most of these are on Buddhism, though there is one biography of Mother Teresa. I cannot vouch for their legitimacy, as one book that came in with this batch was a slanderous anti-Tibetan piece put out by the Chinese govt. (That book is not included.) The yellow ones are by a Buddhist center in Taiwan, and appear to be valid. Program question about adult literacy

Good afternoon everyone, I am sifting through anonymous responses from a survey I gave to patrons following an event, and there were two suggestions for programs on teaching adults how to read. I would like to try this for one night just to see what the turnout is like. If anyone has hosted an adult literacy program before, can you give me some info? Did you yourself teach, or did you have an outside programmer come in to lead the class? Was this officially affiliated with a school, university, program, etc? How did you choose the materials?
