Meeting Space Rental Inquiry
by Autumn Smith 19 Oct '22

19 Oct '22

Greetings, My library board has tasked me with reaching out to other libraries to see how meeting space rentals are handled for nonprofit and civic organizations. Currently, our auditorium is available to rent for $75 for five hours and is most often used (aside from library programs) for baby showers, graduation parties and the like. If you have special pricing or guidelines for nonprofit or civic groups looking for long term meeting space and would be willing to share your experience, including any issues you have had, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Autumn Smith Assistant Director The Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library 407 South Lane Street Blissfield, MI 49228 517-486-2858 517-486-3565 (fax) www.blissfieldlibrary.org Find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!

18 Oct '22

Keeping up on the range of genre fiction isn't easy. What are the classics? What are the up-and-coming authors and series? LM is highlighting topical Library Science titles from our collection in occasional emails. Here are selected titles on genre collecting purchased recently. You can search MeLCat for LM titles and you can also check our New Library Science Collection titles at https://www.michigan.gov/libraryofmichigan/libraries/libsci. Click on the ANSWER catalog link and use "Library Science Collection" as one of the search terms in the Advanced Search and you will pull only the library science collection titles. REMINDER: Titles are available through interlibrary loan only right now, as our MeLCat delivery is temporarily offline while we prepare to move to a new catalog. you can find the information on interlibrary loan borrowing from the Library of Michigan here - https://www.michigan.gov/libraryofmichigan/about/libuseguidelines/guideforl…<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.michi…>.
