Take a deeper look at what some children might be experiencing in this time of crisis, how it might affect learning, how to recognize the signs of abuse, and how public libraries might best serve these children. Dr. Amelia Siders will be our presenter, she is the Director of Clinical Practice Development and Education, at the Children's Advocacy Centers of Michigan. Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) partner with prosecutors, law enforcement, and protective services to coordinate the investigation of child maltreatment-often child sexual abuse. Library General Fund Balance

Hello - Is there an average/standard practice for a library's general fund balance? Our board and I are interested in gauging whether we are spending as much as we should be. There's the potential question from the public of why go for a millage if you have "x" amount saved away. I asked my library cooperative, and received a handful of responses, varying widely from 15-60%. Given that broad range, was hoping to narrow it down to have a better idea. Thanks.
