The Bay County Library System is thrilled to invite you and your patrons to a special author event with New York Times and internationally bestselling author Lisa Unger - happening tomorrow, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the State Theatre in Bay City. Lisa Unger is the acclaimed author of twenty-two novels, including Close Your Eyes and Count to 10, and is widely celebrated as a master of suspense. Her works have been published in 33 languages, appeared on numerous “Best Book” lists, and earned multiple award nominations, including two Edgar Award nominations in the same year. This free, public event will feature an engaging author talk, a live Q&A session, and a book signing. It’s a fantastic opportunity for mystery and thriller fans to connect with one of the most respected voices in the genre. Hello, We recently hosted HITO Media for an Intro to Podcasting program at our library, and I highly recommend them! They have a political podcast called Head in the Office but made it clear they would focus on the fundamentals of podcasting and not discuss politics. Program Presenter Recommendation

Good afternoon all, I recently hosted Justine Jovanovski, owner of Never Look Back vacations, who offered tips and tricks to planning a Disney vacation. She was a breeze to work with, was incredibly organized and knowledgeable, and perfectly abided by our presenter rules (arrive 30 minutes early for setup, do not request patron contact information, no selling anything). The cost of this program was $250 which included travel - she will only travel one hour from where she is located, but feel free to reach out to her and see if she could visit you at your library for the same or a similar program. I also offer a monthly "Armchair Traveler" program where we "visit" a different vacation destination each month, and I will probably reach out to Justine next year to talk about having her visit during a future "Armchair" to share her experiences in traveling to the destination we "visit" that day.
