Elementary School Information Literacy Ideas
by Melissa Adkins 10 Feb '25

10 Feb '25

Hi All, I have an upcoming visit scheduled to teach some information literacy skills to third through fifth grade at the local elementary school. I used to just do a kind of Powerpoint presentation and show them some things, and do exaggerated silly misinformation and have them point it out. It got some laughs but I am wondering if anyone has some other things they do for this age group? I am a bit tired of the same old thing. Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks, Melissa Adkins Assistant Manager/Youth Services Librarian Detroit Public Library Bowen Branch 3648 W. Vernor Detroit, MI 48216 313-481-1540 Mon/Wed/ Sat 10am-6pm Tues/Thurs 12pm-8pm

by Don Priest 10 Feb '25

10 Feb '25

We have a dozen of these older computer speakers, looks like they've never been used (I had to remove the original bubble wrap from these to get a picture). As far as I can tell, they use a 3.5mm jack. If someone is interested in one, some, or all, please reply with your RIDES code, and I'll send them along.
