We recently had Andrew Kercher give the presentation "Behind the Scenes of History: 300 Years of Mackinac" and it was great! I heard from many patrons how much they enjoyed his presentation and asked if we could invite him back next year. His website is kercher.info and he has many different programs to choose from. Stats on book ordering

Hello, I am wondering if anyone takes stats on the types of books they purchase. It could be as broad as how many fiction vs. nonfiction, or even more specific. Just looking to see how others may do it! The Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) is hiring. RHPL has an opening for a Youth Librarian. Do you want to work with a vibrant and innovative team? Then this is the position for you. The Youth Librarian provides professional library information services to children, young adults, and/or adult customers. Such services include reader’s advisory, reference services and programming. Other responsibilities may include assignment(s) to a subject and/or service specialty area. Librarian positions require responsible, resourceful persons with a broad knowledge base. These employees work in close contact with the public and must understand the principles and techniques of public service. This is a part time (22.5) position. The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester, MI and is part of The Library Network and Metro Net Consortium, and we utilize the Polaris ILS as our computer system.
