New Video: Emmy Award Winning Under the Radar Michigan and MAP: What A Combo!!!
by Jim Flury 24 Aug '15

24 Aug '15

All, On July 14 Tom Daldin and Jim Edelman of Under the Radar Michigan visited The Library Network world headquarters to draw the names of the first two lucky winning libraries (Grace A. Dow Memorial Library in Midland and Peter White Public Library in Marquette) for an upcoming UTR library program. Never wanting to let a great MAP promo opportunity pass us by, TLN systems administrator and videographer Justin Walker recorded the festivities and uploaded same to the MAP facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Michigan-Activity-Pass-MAP/510259192344845 The video stars Tom Daldin and Jim Edelman of UTR Michigan, and Jim Pletz and Brigette Felix of TLN, who also does double duty as floor director. Thanks for helping us promote MAP, Jim and Tom, and also for making it so much fun! Speaking of fun, there is additional UTR/MAP frivolity to come! Tom and Jim will be the featured speakers at the Thursday, October 29 MLA conference luncheon http://www.milibraries.org/prof-development-networking/annual-conference/fe… And sometime during the conference the guys will draw the names of FOUR additional winning libraries for a UTR library program! Thank you for watching and sharing our MAP UTR promotional video, and we look forward to seeing all of you at MLA. High School School library collection disbanded....
by Mary Bullard 22 Aug '15

22 Aug '15

Suggestions needed ASAP : Our very large school library was dismantled last year. The last inventory indicated 23,971 books although some have been placed in a small browsing collection. Teacher have claimed some for their rooms but there is everything from reference to fiction to nonfiction. The books are in good condition. Mostly the books are in the boxes by Dewey just as they were packed in storage. Does anyone know a organization or place to donate or recycle library books?
