Hi All--We, respectively, the MeL Team at MCLS :-) has been working with tech support staff at EBSCO to connect NoveList K-8+ titles to the actual eBook in MeL's eBook collections available from EBSCO. If there is an eBook available after you do a search in NoveList K-8+, you will see under the "Check the MeLCat Catalog": "Access this eBook via EBSCOHost eBooks" for that title. Click on that link and you will go to the eBook corresponding to the NoveList K-8+ entry. Very excited to make this additional feature available. Community storytelling/"Moth" style programs?

Hi everyone, I am looking at doing a community storytelling program at my library modeled on the format of The Moth Radio Hour--attendees can put their name in the hat for a chance to stand up and tell a short, true story related to the night's theme. Summer Reading: how to count unpublished stories

Hi all; In an attempt to keep our patrons (especially teens) into reading this summer, we are allowing all formats of reading (books, magazines, ebooks, audiobooks, etc.). Because we are allowing so many different formats to be used, we chose to go with page counts for all ages (seems to be the fairest way to track). For online ebooks and audiobooks, we typically use the standard hardcover page count for those titles. One of my teen patrons asked if they could count a book they are reading online that is from a site for writers to "self publish". Since these titles do not have a page count available, any suggestions as to how we can count these stories? I don't want to tell our readers that they can't use these titles - the whole point of summer reading is to get kids/teens/adults reading for the fun of it.
