Looking for Chocolate Class Presenter
by Elisabeth Phou 08 Aug '17

08 Aug '17

Hello, Every year I have a chocolate class for teens (grades 6-12), but sadly my presenter is no longer doing them. Does anyone have a recommendation for a baker who does this? It would be really basic things like melting chocolate, making chocolate-covered popcorn and pretzels, etc. All of the chocolate stores that I've contacted said they only do their programs in-house, so I think I need to find someone who works on their own. Thanks, everybody! Elisabeth -- *Elisabeth Phou, MLIS* Adult/Teen Services Librarian Baldwin Public Library 300 W. Merrill St. Birmingham, MI 48009 248-554-4653

Andy and Judy Folk Singer Program
by Battles, Calvin 08 Aug '17

08 Aug '17

Hello fellow Michiganders, This past weekend Jackson District Library was lucky enough to have Andy and Judy (andyjudysing.com) come to our Carnegie Branch to do an outdoor concert. Andy and Judy are from Massachusetts, but tour the country on weekends and vacations doing shows. In fact, they come through the Midwest at least twice a year. If you are planning a concert in the future, I highly recommend Andy and Judy's folk concert for all ages. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer.
