Books in Korean?
by Lynn Schofield-Dahl 22 Mar '19

22 Mar '19

Hi. We have received a donation of roughly 40 books written in Korean. With the exception of the patron who donated these books, we don't have a readership for Korean Language Materials. Because I don't read Korean, I really can't tell you anything about the books except most of them are paperbacks in pretty good condition. Does anyone on this list serve a community which might use these books? I would be happy to send them to you via MeL. First Come, First Served. Happy Friday! Film with a Michigan focus
by Robert P. Holley 21 Mar '19

21 Mar '19

The following film has a strong Michigan focus because the subject is the Ojibway community in northern Michigan. Vdrome is an international organization that makes experimental and non-traditional films available so that it's great to learn that it picked one about a group in our state. As it says below, the film will be available only until April 2 though sometimes Vdrome adds a few days. Bob Robert P. Holley Professor Emeritus, Wayne State University 13303 Borgman Avenue Huntington Woods, MI 48070-1005 email: aa3805(a)wayne.edu phone: 248-547-0306 ________________________________ From: Vdrome <screening(a)vdrome.org> Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2019 1:08 PM To: Robert P. As the prophecy presents both a record of the past and a foretelling of what is to come, the collaborative work imagines new indigenous futures, looking simultaneously backward and forward. In parallel, the film critiques institutional archives and the consumption of indigenous culture by outside audiences.
