This is a full-time, salaried position with a flexible hybrid schedule (remote and in-office) and an annual salary range of $75,000–$80,000. The Cooperative supports 35 member libraries across the Upper Peninsula and northern Lower Peninsula and oversees a regional integrated library system serving 82 libraries. Security Gates

Use the YouTube version * Share with your local radio stations - .wav version (Audio Only for Radio Broadcast) * Want to customize? Find various file formats to fit your needs * .xmp (Extensible Metadata Platform) A metadata file used to store information about a media file (like author, copyright, keywords, etc.). Not a media file itself—usually accompanies other files to help with organization and editing. * .mxf (Material Exchange Format) A professional video and audio container format used in broadcast and production environments. Supports high-quality, uncompressed footage and metadata—commonly used in TV and film. * .mov (QuickTime Movie) Developed by Apple, it’s a widely used video format that supports high-quality video and audio. Book Club Books Up For Grabs

Hello, I have two book club kit books that weren't claimed from the batch that I offered on Michlib-L in February. I am not willing to break up the sets. They are: - The Help by Kathryn Stockett - The Hideaway by Lauren K. Denton (Large Print Copy) The books have a white sticker with a number on the lower spine and a sticker on the front cover that has our library name and a note about it belonging to a book club kit. Our library name is stamped on the title page and usually page 39. I am not removing/covering any of these for fear of ruining the books, please remove or cover all mention of our library when you receive them. I also have copies of the discussion questions in Microsoft word that are on our letterhead, please let me know if you want them. These go pretty quickly, so please only request one set per library. Please let me know which title you would like, what your library name is and your ZV code. These will probably be sent out early next week and I will let each library know which one they are getting. Basics of Cataloging Instructor Continuing Education Services at the iSchool at UW-Madison is seeking an instructor for Basics of Cataloging. This is an 8-week asynchronous online continuing education course. This instructor will begin teaching in the fall of 2025 – the course dates are somewhat flexible pending the instructor’s availability. This course is typically offered twice per year; once in the fall and once in the summer. We are seeking a fall instructor but are open to someone teaching both sessions, twice per year. The iSchool will provide training and technical support for the instructor. Familiarity with online teaching or learning is an asset, but not required. The iSchool uses Canvas as our learning management system. Ideal candidates: * At minimum, must hold a Bachelor’s degree; * Able to work on course development during the summer 2025 and teach starting in September or October 2025; * Well-versed in the required content topics covered in the course (outlined below); * Legally authorized to work in the United States; * Experience with instruction is preferred, but not required. Required Content for Basics of Cataloging * Reading and understanding MARC catalog records * OCLC: WorldCat * MARC Format * Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal classification systems * Subject cataloging, with emphasis on Library of Congress subject headings * Authority control * Electronic resources and library cataloging * Anglo-American Catalog Rules (AACR2) * Resource Description and Access (RDA) Salary: The instructor will receive $2,200 each time they teach the course. The instructor will receive an additional one-time $880 development payment the first time the course is offered.
