This position is responsible for assisting the Research Services Manager with the firm's research capabilities and supporting firm members with their legal research needs. The Research Analyst will: Analyze Library use and research data and create summary reports * Submit Library invoices to Accounting for payment; maintain departmental accounting records * Reconcile monthly library credit card statements * Order research materials as requested and troubleshoot delivery and distribution issues * Open, sort, and distribute Library mail or assist other support staff in doing so * Update the Library catalog and intranet pages under the Research Services Manager's direction * Maintain computerized circulation records, check library material in and out, and retrieve print materials when updates are needed * Assist with loose-leaf filing and pocket parts as requested * Assist with maintenance of physical collections and subscriptions in other firm offices - may require periodic travel to regional firm offices (own transportation required) * Conduct introductory training for firm members not requiring legal research resources or instruction * Participate in training sessions for new attorneys, summer associates, paralegals, and other groups requiring access to library materials as requested * Retrieve materials from legal research databases as requested * Assist with retrieving articles and performing research for legal purposes and for firm administrative departments * Support current research, training and knowledge management practices by creating training materials as needed under the direction of the Research Services Manager * Conduct public and court records research, following all relevant data privacy laws and regulations * Assist with research account set up, de-activation, retrieval of user names and resetting passwords * Communicate with legal research vendors as requested to resolve access and functionality issues Experience, Education and Training 1. I'd like to offer a program that's "Off the Beaten (Culinary) Path" that would offer ideas to make meals more interesting, share some food pairings that are unusual, that kind of thing. The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a $14.2 billion program that succeeds the previous Emergency Broadband Benefit program. Through the ACP, eligible households can receive up to $30 off their monthly broadband bill — $75 for those living on qualifying tribal lands. The transition period between the EBB and the new ACP ends March 1, so it’s important for existing beneficiaries to take steps to ensure that they’ll continue to receive the benefit. And it’s important to note that under the new ACP, the monthly amount of the benefit drops from $50 to $30 but remains at $75 for those on qualifying Tribal lands. Participating broadband providers also may offer discounts on internet-enabled devices such as tablet computers; see your provider for details. Here's how to determine your eligibility and, if you qualify, apply for the benefit: Am I eligible? One ACP discount is available per eligible household. Most Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) participants who were enrolled by Dec. 31, 2021, will automatically be enrolled in the new Affordable Connectivity Program and will not have to take additional steps to receive the ACP benefit. That does not apply to participants who received the EBB because of a temporary loss of income related to the COVID-19 pandemic or who were participating in a COVID-19 program.
