Greetings-- We have an ongoing opportunity for a Library Page position. This is a great way to learn library services and get to know how they work. It's also an excellent job for a student, with flexible scheduling and minimal stress.. Retirees enjoy this position as a way to keep connecting with the world and getting out and about. The Bloomfield Township Public Library is seeking a professional and resourceful Library Page to support the Library’s circulation needs. The Bloomfield Township Public Library is a Class 5 Library, with a service population of 41,070 people. There is strong community support for the Library and its collections, services, and programs. Technology is integrated into Library services. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to provide quality service to the staff and the public and the desire to work in a collaborative team environment. POSITION TITLE: Page DEPARTMENT: Adult Services, Circulation, or Youth Services, reporting to Assistant Department Head HOURS: Flexible, part-time, year-round, approximately 10-20 hours weekly, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Paid time and a half on Sundays. WAGE & BENEFITS: $10.10 per hour with increase possible upon successful completion of three-month orientation period and annual increases based on successful completion of annual review. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides positive, pleasant professional service to staff and public * Sorts and shelves materials (books, DVDs, etc.) in a timely manner * Retrieves materials for patrons and staff * Maintains shelf organization and appearance * Follows direction of supervisor * Directs patrons to appropriate staff for assistance * Assists in opening or closing of the Library * Assists department staff before and after programs when needed * Performs special assignments or duties as needed For more details, please see attached or go to our website. Roseville Public Library In-Person/Virtual Program: Mental Health and the Holidays

Hello Michigan Library Land, I am very excited to announce that the Roseville Public Library has partnered with our local Mental Health org, Macomb County Community Mental Health, to provide our patrons with a program which will discuss how to help yourself and others with mental health struggles that can crop up/be worsened by the end of the year holidays. We felt this was a very important to discuss, especially with the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the grief of losing so many loved ones. In order to reach those who are unable to visit the library in-person, or those who are uncomfortable talking about these topics around others, we will be offering this program virtually. Leslie Styer of MCCMH will be at the Roseville Public Library in person and we will stream the program via Zoom for everyone else. While the organization and some of the resources may be local to Macomb County, I believe anyone can benefit from the topics that will be discussed. Please feel free to promote this program to your staff or patrons, and attend yourself. The program is this Wednesday, December 14, 2022, 6pm-7:30pm. Free set of 4-tiered lockers with electronic locks. Lockers are 5' high, 3' wide, 18" deep. Purchased from Salsbury Industries/Lockers.com. Arrived with some dents (as pictured), but otherwise just fine. We received a replacement set at no cost, and were told to keep the slightly imperfect set. Free to the first to respond.
