Digitizing City Directories

Hello all, For those of you who have digitized local city directories in your collections, would you be willing to share experiences, suggestions, advice, or any other thoughts? The majority of our directories were published by either Luedders' or Johnson Publishing Company (with a smattering of other publishers, especially early on). They cover the time period from the late 1860s to the mid-1970s. Thank you in advance for the collective wisdom! Outdoor WiFi at Your Library

These questions are for those libraries using their CARES Act grant money (or other funding if the project was recent) to provide wifi coverage to outdoor portions of library property, like a parking lot. What equipment are you using in your project? Is the outdoor installation work being hired out, or being done in-house? Any other pitfalls or tips you would like to share? We have a temporary solution in place with additional access points placed in windows, but I'm looking for a much more robust solution, such as this Cisco model <https://www.provantage.com/cisco-systems-air-ap1562i-b-k9~7CSC8CWC.htm>. Please excuse the cross-posting. ******* Making Sense of the Moment: The Library’s Role in Helping Us Understand Race and Racism The State Library of Ohio and Bexley (OH) Public Library recently collaborated on an LSTA-supported event called Making Sense of the Moment: The Library’s Role in Helping Us Understand Race and Racism with Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries, associate professor of history at The Ohio State University where he teaches courses on the Civil Rights and Black Power Movement. After his presentation, Dr. Jeffries had a conversation with Erin Kelsey, Library Consultant at the State Library of Ohio, about how race and racism impacts the work of libraries and how library workers are integral to building equity in our communities.
