Have you ever felt anxious when someone walks in needing help with their device, but the person who normally helps has just left? Fear not! Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) is presenting two interactive, in-person workshops that will give you the skills and confidence you need to identify PC components, use various devices, and know where to begin looking when you’re not sure what to do. During the workshop you will have the opportunity for hands-on practice with PC hardware and peripherals, to explore technology competencies, and to add to your toolbox of technology resources. Baking equipment collections

Hi all, I am hoping to gather some information about any collections containing baking tools and equipment (cake pans, molds, specialty tools, small electronics, etc.) Specifically, how do you incorporate it into your existing catalog? Suggestions for Free Speakers for Garden Club?

Hello All, We host our local garden club at the library every month, and it is increasingly difficult to find speakers for them. We have had MSU Extension Center out a number of times, and we have also hosted some members of other local garden clubs. The garden club has no budget so I am looking for speakers that are willing to come for free. Does anybody have any suggestions? The Library Director, under guidance of the Board of Trustees, develops and maintains the library service program meeting the needs of its constituents in the Joplin Public Library service area. Public library experience, including a successful track record reporting to a governing board and experience with a tax levy, are preferred qualifications. Compensation. This award-winning, #1 New York Times bestseller was recently released as a critically-acclaimed film. Books will be available for sale and signing. Registration is required: https://www.cadl.org/event/400622 Student Success - CADL is excited to rollout our first group (550 students) of Student Success members, piloting with Webberville Community Schools. No physical library cards will be issued. Students can check out items by verbally providing their student number or showing student ID. The school district agreed to share student directory information with CADL. Checkouts are limited to three items at a time and formats are limited to books, magazines and audiobooks. Students can also our digital collection and public computers. Residency is determined by the location of the school, not by where the student lives. Cover Song Contest - Last summer, CADL invited local singers and bands to cover Right Here, a song we use in our branding commercials. It was just announced that our winner, The Swift Brothers will perform at Common Ground Music Festival with country music star Cole Swindell. How do you handle patron disputes regarding cards? How do you ensure that data entry is done correctly? Do you have age limits on obtaining a library card? Thanks for the help! Brandon
