The Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) is expanding. RHPL has an opening for a Youth Librarian. Do you want to work with a vibrant and innovative team? Then this is the position for you. The Youth Librarian provides professional library information services to children, young adults, and/or adult customers. Such services include reader’s advisory, reference services and programming. Other responsibilities may include assignment(s) to a subject and/or service specialty area. Librarian positions require responsible, resourceful persons with a broad knowledge base. These employees work in close contact with the public and must understand the principles and techniques of public service. This is a full time (37.5) position. The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester, MI and is part of The Library Network and Metro Net Consortium, and we utilize the Polaris ILS as our computer system. Ergonomics Space Assessments and Training

Hey y'all, I'm the Circulation Manager at Kalamazoo Public Library, and part of my job is managing the space and workflow for our circulation staff. As I've been working with the staff in the workspaces, I've been noticing that our set up feels awkward in ways. For both the efficiency of the work, and the ongoing physical health and safety of my staff, I'd love to have someone come in and give recommendations for configuring the space, and/or training staff on safe lifting, ergonomics, ect. *Has any libraries done something like this?* My only lead on this so far is to have a space assessment done through Bronson OT. They would potentially be able to come do an assessment of the space, but it's specifically related to my personal OT needs for my wrist tendonitis. Question for libraries that circulate iPads

Hello, iOs 17.2 has really thrown a wrench in things! Apparently, due to the new update, if a patron returning an iPad used a passcode to lock the iPad screen, the passcode is still required to erase the content and settings. In one instance, a new borrowing patron attempted to download their iCloud data to a newly erased iPad when it required a passcode (from the previous patron). Has anyone encountered this? Is there a workaround? Thank you! I work with authors/writers all the time with Marvel Entertainment and other publishing houses and I'm currently writing and illustrating my own brainchild, The Which-When Man.
