Juvenile State/Country Books
by Abby Ollila 17 Aug '26

17 Aug '26

Hello everyone, I am working on updating our current nonfiction juvenile collection of state and country books. Our current collection is from the 1990s, so I am looking for newer titles with updated information and history. If anyone has recommendations on juvenile books of this nature, I would greatly appreciate them! Thank you! Policy Examples-Community Use/ Community Room
by North Adams Library 17 Aug '26

17 Aug '26

Hello and Happy Monday to all! Our library is conducting a review of all current policies and I am interested in Community Use/Community Room Policy examples. We have a pretty comprehensive one, but I think it needs some revision to make sure it is actually meeting our needs and those of our community members. If you have a policy for community use of the library space, would you mind sharing? I'll gladly compile responses if anyone else is interested. Thank you, Mariele Mariele Busch Library Director North Adams Community Memorial Library 4695 Knowles Rd, North Adams 517-287-4426 northadamslibrarian(a)gmail.com

by Mick Howey 17 Aug '26

Hello Michlib! Last night BPL hosted the Soo Locks Chief Park Ranger Michelle Briggs' presentation The Illustrated History of the Soo Locks. The presentation was fantastic! Michelle was knowledgeable, lively, personable, and engaging. She also went above and beyond to make sure her appearance even happened. The presentation was well attended with many folks staying after to chat. Michelle's contact info is below. There was not a fee.
