by Vickey Bloom 15 Dec '14

15 Dec '14

Hi Everyone, The Grosse Pointe Library Foundation and Friends of the Grosse Pointe Library are excited to host Peter Pearson, President of the Friends of the St. Paul Library, for a half-day workshop on "Demonstrating the Relevance of Libraries in the Community." We hosted him in 2012 for a workshop on fundraising and it was excellent. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 10am-12pm. It will be held at our Grosse Pointe Woods branch, 20680 Mack Avenue which is very close to I-94. Cost is $25 and breakfast will be provided. This is a save the date email. I will send a second one in the new year with information on how to sign up. Vickey Bloom Director Grosse Pointe Public Library

District library board organizational meeting agenda
by Colleen Leddy 13 Dec '14

13 Dec '14

Got a minute? I sure could use your help! We are waiting to hear if our District Library Agreement will be approved by the State Librarian. In the meantime, I am trying to accomplish a great deal in a short span of time, since, if we are approved, the district would become effective Dec. 31, 2014 (trying to beat the sunset on forming a district library with a school district). It would be very helpful to see the agenda for your district library board's very first meeting, the organizational meeting when your board first met. Could you please email that to me? Or fax to 517-458-3378. Thank you! Colleen Colleen Leddy, Director Stair Public Library 228 W. Main St. Morenci, MI 49256 517/458-6510 Monday & Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

by Jessica Wilhoite 13 Dec '14

13 Dec '14

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any performers they would recommend for Black History Month? I had Miz Rosie come out last year, and while she was great, I'm trying to see if I can get a different person out this year. Thanks, -- Jessica Wilhoite Youth Librarian Romulus Public Library 11121 Wayne Rd. Romulus, MI 48174 (734)955-4517
