Patron's Facebook Usage
by Nannette Pretzer 17 Feb '15

17 Feb '15

I just received a call from a person who knows this lady is using the library computers to post "threatening" messages on Facebook. Is there anything we can legally do to prohibit this patron from using the computers and posting these "alleged" threatening facebook posts? Any wisdom or knowledge you can share on this issue? Genre Divisions in Fiction Departments
by Jaema Berman 17 Feb '15

17 Feb '15

Dear Colleagues, We are considering dividing our fiction department by genre to help patrons more easily discover their favorite types of authors. I would like to hear from anyone who has done this or is doing it and what your thoughts on this kind of arrangement. Do you feel it helps or confuses patrons, creates lots of extra work for staff, opens you to genre sticker issues, etc? I look forward to your insights! Many thanks in advance!
