31 Aug '15

Hi, If any of you have a special Tween section of books I was wondering how you label them? I started by looking in DEMCO to see if there was a sticker available but did not find one. Perhaps we can make up our own but I thought I would send out the question first. Kathy Nuss Assistant Librarian Center Line Public Library

Librarians can create story baskets, use them in conjunction with the selected read aloud, and then invite "young readers" to retell the story using the story basket's visual cues. Additionally, young readers could help create their own story baskets as an art activity. Advantages, such as oral language and listening skills development, will be discussed, and useful resources will be shared.
