The Adult Manual committee for the Collaborative Summer Library Program, aka Summer Reading, is looking for ideas for the 2017 Adult program. The theme is Build a Better World. If you have a great program idea, a way to get adults coming in, good reader's advisory, or anything else that can help, please share! See information below for suggested program topics and where to send your ideas. The deadline is Nov. 30th. If you have presented a program on one of the topics, or have ideas for other programs or decorating/display ideas, send them in with details along with any special space needs or personnel. Call for Proposals - Technologies & Trends workshop

Good morning! The MLA Technologies & Trends work group is seeking proposals for presentations at the Michigan Library Association's 2016 Technologies and Trends workshop. This one-day event, on May 25, 2016 at Delta College, will attract a wide variety of library practitioners. The work group is seeking proposals for sessions from public, academic, special, and school-library professionals and staff that relate to the workshop's theme of Linked Data. Possible presentation topics could include best practices for using linked data in technical services, methods for harassing linked data in information services, best practices in the creation or use of linked data.
