Braille Summer Reading Program
by Perri Saunders 01 Jul '16

01 Jul '16

A month or so ago I received information about an online (I think) Braille summer reading program. I printed it out and passed it on to the mom, but she's lost it. Can anyone pass this info on again? We have a little guy that visits the area during the summer, and I'd like to offer him as much as possible. Thanks so much, -- Perri Saunders, Director White Pigeon Township Library 102 N. 4 person computer station free
by Melissa Huisman 01 Jul '16

01 Jul '16

Hi! Free for any library that wants it - 4 station computer unit. The monitors are sunk inside and sit on little shelves and the keyboards are on trays. Both the monitor stands and the keyboard trays can be removed and you’d just have a normal table but with 4 glass panels on the surface. Also, the frosted privacy glass was added later and can be removed. Chairs aren’t included. You’d have to come here and pick it up. It fits in the back of an SUV when taken apart. And it is already all taken apart. Thanks! From: Melissa Huisman Sent: Tuesday, June 14, 2016 10:07 AM To: Melissa Huisman <mhuisman(a)hudsonville.org<mailto:mhuisman@hudsonville.org>> Subject:

Annual Director Evaluations
by COO Lavonne Marshall 01 Jul '16

01 Jul '16

Hello All, If you are the director of your library, how does your board of trustees manage your annual review? Do you meet with the Personnel Committee as a whole? Do the trustees conduct the annual review at a regularly scheduled board meeting as a group? I am interested to learn how other libraries manage this. Thanks a bunch. Classroom Sets
by Mindy Schafer 30 Jun '16

30 Jun '16

A local high school cleaned their book room and we offered to try to pass along the books. We have several boxes (with 30-40 copies each) of the book Please Stop Laughing at Me by Jodee Blanco. They are in very good to excellent condition. I would prefer to give them away by the box rather than as individual copies. We are starting an interior renovation on August 1, so we need them in a new home before the end of July. Please let me know if you or someone you know is interested and we can arrange for pick-up/delivery. Thanks! -- Mindy Schafer Assistant Director/Youth Librarian DeWitt District Library <http://dewittlibrary.org> 13101 Schavey Rd.
