SAFER security cases DVDs available

We have a bunch of SAFER security cases for DVDs for anyone who can use them - 5+ cartons. These are the older style SAFER cases that use the mechanical "toaster" opener. They are NOT the Checkpoint SAFER cases that are in the current DEMCO catalog. catalog. We do NOT have a "toaster"/opener available. Picture is attached if you are not sure about the style of these security cases. They will be available until August 18 and if you are interested you would have to arrange pickup. Minimum Qualifications: * Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from a school accredited by the American Library Association or completion by December 2017. * Application of the basic principles, concepts and methodology of professional librarianship in carrying out basic assignments, operations or procedures. * Critical thinking skills, as applied to successfully answering reference inquiries. * Knowledge of Children's literature, media and resources for ages 0 - 12 years. * Knowledge of literature, current events and general information found helpful in resolving reference inquiries. * Effective oral and written communication skills. * Professional attitude towards providing public library services to patrons. * Familiarity with current technology, i.e., general computer literacy, knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office and other electronic sources of information. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and supervisors. * Excellent understanding of Library policies, procedures, philosophy and Public Service Values. Thanks, Colleen Press release: It won’t be your garden variety author visit when Elizabeth Berg appears for a book reading and signing at Stair District Library in Morenci at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 13—but there will be garden vegetables (among lots of other refreshments) and garden flowers—and dogs. Yes, dogs. As part of Berg’s Tales and Tails Tour, her dog, Gabby, will accompany her. Plus, a representative of the Lenawee Humane Society will be present with a dog available for adoption and to speak briefly about the organization and the adoption process. The Tales and Tails Tour took shape following the recent death of Berg’s beloved dog, Homer, as a way to give back and to “make people happy,” which is also the title of one of the books she’ll be promoting on the tour. Berg decided to visit libraries at no charge, but with stipulations—permission for Gabby to attend, flowers on display, good refreshments for the audience members, and an adoptable dog from the Humane Society. “Make People Happy” is a collection of favorite Facebook posts Berg published in book form in 2016 after requests from her fans. Berg will also read from “The Story of Arthur Truluv” which comes out this November. Berg’s partner, Bill Young, will be in attendance to sell copies of “Make People Happy” as well as many of her previously published books. Stair District Library is one of 17 libraries on the tour of several Midwest states and the only one in Michigan. It is located at 228 W.
