Blissfield's Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library rolling reopening back to Phase I (vestibule service).
by director＠blissfieldlibrary.org 13 Nov '20

13 Nov '20

As of Saturday, November 14, 2020, and until further notice, the Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library in Blissfield will be rolling back to Phase I in its reopening plan in response to rising positive case rates in Lenawee County. Since the library serves a high-risk population, this rollback allows the library to keep borrowing available to patrons while keeping staff and patrons safer. In Phase I, the library building, other than the vestibule, is closed to the public. Staff will be available by telephone and email during the library's regular hours. Patrons may place holds on physical materials online using the library's catalog, by email to info(a)blissfieldlibrary.org <mailto:info@blissfieldlibrary.org> , or by telephone at 517-486-2858. The items will be checked out to the requesting patron and placed in the library vestibule for a 24-hour window to be picked up during the library's regular hours. The current limit of five items per patron continues to apply. Other than borrowing, all other in-building services are unavailable in Phase I. The library's online services, including new account applications, and programming, including Blissfield Unbound and StoryTime, remain available, as always, on the library website, blissfieldlibrary.org, and Facebook page, The Schultz-Holmes Memorial Library. Hello All, This question is for those who deal with their library's social media- Is there a way to link your Instagram Stories to your website (swipe up link)? I checked with Instagram's website and it said that you need to be verified or have 10,000 followers. Is there a way around this? Thanks! Collaborative Summer Library Program If you've not yet looked at the manual for 2021's Tails & Tales, please take some time in the coming weeks to do so! This is the second year of the new layout with well-developed content from CSLP. It sure makes program planning so much easier and fun... If you don't have the access code to download it from www.cslpreads.org<http://www.cslpreads.org>, please message me directly from an official work email at LancasterC5(a)Michigan.gov<mailto:LancasterC5@Michigan.gov>. CSLP's Organizational Coordinator Luke Kralik has made 3 short video tutorials on how to easily access the 2021 online manual and art files for #TailsandTales. Please follow this link to learn how: https://www.cslpreads.org/2021-tutorials/<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cslpr…>. For an upcoming CSLP newsletter article, Christian Stuck is interested in learning about your past and future use of CSLP incentives. If you have the time, please fill out the following 9-question survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SKBM9YG<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.surve…> Questions about this survey? Email Christina Stuck, Youth Services Librarian, Charlotte Community Library, at StuckC(a)CharlotteLibrary.org<mailto:StuckC@CharlotteLibrary.org>. Finally, you may have seen the big art reveal for Summer 2021's "Tails & Tales" by Salina Yoon in the CSLP Newsletter or in the new program planning CSLP Facebook group<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.faceb…>. Feel free to give your patrons a sneak peek, too, by using some of the sample posts in CSLP's 2021 Tails & Tales Social Media Toolkit: https://bit.ly/CSLP_Toolkit21<https://gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2F…>. The document is a living one, so the CSLP social media team will keep plugging away at adding graphics and sample posts as Summer 2021 approaches. Looking forward to seeing #TailsandTales posts from your libraries! You can follow CSLP on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest at @CSLPreads. This program is supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
