Higher ed change research survey - closes soon!
by Mary K O'Kelly 31 Mar '26

31 Mar '26

Dear Higher Education Colleagues, A week ago, I reached out about a research study on change resistance and organizational paradox mindsets in higher education. If you've already completed the 10-mimute survey, thank you. Your participation is valuable. If you haven't yet completed it, there's still time. The survey closes in 7 days on April 7. SURVEY LINK: https://wmich.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9uhFh4ZAy9xLG86 High-pressure decisions about how education institutions manage change are being made right now, decisions that would benefit from data that reflects the current experiences of people most affected by those (often contradictory) changes. This research aims to inform those decisions. As you take the survey, I encourage you to think about a specific change you've lived through at your institution: a reorganization, a leadership transition, a new initiative or technology, a new budget model. Your grounded, real-world perspective is what gives this research its value. Every response strengthens the findings and their usefulness to the field. To that end, even if you've already completed the survey, we would greatly appreciate your taking a moment to share this invitation with higher education colleagues. Our goal is to receive 450 completed surveys from across the United States and its territories. Interested in seeing the results when the study is complete? Sign up here: https://wmich.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7PWoSHJgTE8kIGq Thank you for your time. The mini-conference will explore AI from the angles that matter to library workers: * Understanding risks and potential harms; * Practical applications in library and administrative work; * Research and information literacy; * Leadership decision-making; * Ethical considerations; * Supporting patrons who are navigating AI in their own lives. Please join us for a conversation that will be as broad and honest as the topic deserves. Attendance is free and open to all.
