free book racks
by Ms. TJ Smith 28 Oct '21

28 Oct '21

We cleaned out our shed and will not be keeping some of our racks. There are 5 plastic and metal 4 spindle spinner racks and one plastic "tree" shaped rack (each level does pop apart into smaller pieces). All measure approx 62" tall with a 28" width/diameter. Pictures attached. They are living in the elements for the time being because we just don't have room to store them. Please message off-list and we can coordinate pick up. Hello All, We have a Cricut Expressions (possibly 10 years old) that comes with 7 design cartridges and a cutting pad. It is missing it's power cord. Attached are some pictures of it and the port for the missing adapter. We have purchased a new Cricut recently and this is the old one we used to use. We are not sure if it still works but since it comes with all this stuff we don't want to throw it away. Anyone interested in having it, let me know and we will send it along with your rides code! New Librarianship Symposia: Starts TOMORROW 10/28
by White, Shannon (MDE) 27 Oct '21

27 Oct '21

Please note the event below is not an LM event so I can't provide details on the registration, etc. Please follow the links provided for registration details and contacts if you have questions. sdw View this email in your browser<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmailchi.m…> [https://mcusercontent.com/6dc7f62bf2785cc68a03a6c8d/images/69258a6d-7636-4b…] GLN is proud to co-sponsor this excellent symposia! Registration is now open for the New Librarianship Symposia. The series brings together practitioners, scholars, and an international body of library organizations to discuss Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Post-neutrality librarianship, international cooperation in libraries, and the development of a new normal agenda for librarian advocacy moving forward. If you are interested, please sign up now for the live stream event: Symposium 1: Post-Neutrality Librarianship (October 28, 2021): Librarians cannot be unbiased neutral information professionals and passionate advocates for better communities. To seek an improved society calls for a vision of what "improved" means. How can librarians reconcile the reality of making service decisions in a context of limited resources with a mandate to serve the whole community? Register for this symposium at EventBrite<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiglibrar…> Symposium 2: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (November 4, 2021): The vital need for diversity in librarianship stems from twin beliefs in the inherent value and dignity of all people and in the fact that the best knowledge is derived from the richest variety of sources. How can this be expressed as a core value of librarianship and what are its implications for the institutions librarians build and maintain? How can we address institutional racism, biases, discrimination, and inaccessibility in library institutions, education, and practice internationally? How might we integrate principles of inclusion and universal design? Register for this symposium at EventBrite<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiglibrar…> Symposium 3: International Influences (November 11, 2021): Concepts of diversity, of service, and of librarianship itself are strongly influenced by local contexts. The idea that the work of librarians looks the same in Kenya, Norway, China, and the United States is founded on the strained concept that universal structures serve all. What in librarianship transcends national boundaries, what varies, and what is the process that connects the two? Register for this symposium at EventBrite<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiglibrar…> Symposium 4: A New Normal Agenda in a COVID-Affected World (November 18, 2021): The COVID pandemic has put in sharp contrast the role of libraries in communities, and made clear how what was once considered normal, must never be normalized again. Librarians must fight for universal broadband, better workforce development, and expand democratic conversations, to ensure the wellbeing of communities and understand their roles in a crisis. What does the new normal agenda for librarianship look like? Register for this symposium at EventBrite<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiglibrar…> For more information, please visit the series website at: https://scholarcommons.sc.edu/newlibrarianshipsymposia/<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgiglibrar…> The New Librarianship Symposium Series is sponsored by the University of South Carolina, MIT Press, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, the U.S. Library of Congress, the British Library, KB National Library of the Netherlands, OCLC, URFIST de Bordeaux, Enssib, the Black Caucus of the American Library Association, the American Indian Library Association, the University of Texas at Austin Bowden Folio, and Gigabit Libraries Network. Good day! You will see all necessary info through a link in the letter: 1)tradingview.diiclinic.com/estplaceat/sequiautem-908624 2)winonvulkan.gboards.in/laboresapiente/ipsumdistinctio-908624 Attn: Summer Library Programmers Access Code for 2022 The Library of Michigan has purchased Michigan’s public libraries online access to the 2022 Collaborative Summer Library Program’s “Oceans of Possibilities” Manual. This manual contains all the programming resources, graphics, and book lists for the upcoming summer. I’m happy to share that CSLP has also updated their website and the manual is easier than ever to navigate. To open & download the manual, you will need the access code - the access code for 2022 has been sent to all public library directors in Michigan via LM’s LibPass portal just this morning, having come to their inbox from “Mi(a)countingopinions.com<mailto:Mi@countingopinions.com>.” If your director does not forward the access code to you in the next day or so, please reach out to them directly for the code. To open & download the manual from the CSLP website (MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com" claiming to be www.cslpreads.org<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cslpre…>) hover over the “Manual Downloads” tab, located on the menu bar. From the drop-down menu, select 2022 Oceans of Possibilities. You will be prompted to enter your access code. Please do not share your code outside of your library or post it in a publicly accessible location. Online Store is now open The CSLP online store is also currently open: MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com" claiming to be https://shop.cslpreads.org/<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fshop.cslp…>, to supply your library with posters, incentives, shirts, and more around the 2022 “Oceans of Possibilities” program.
