Position: Branch Manager, Westacres Branch Full Time (35 hours per week) Includes evening and weekend hours (Saturday/Sunday) Qualifications: MLIS or equivalent from an ALA accredited library school; 3- 5 years of public library experience; 2-3 years of supervisory experience, experience in project development and implementation; experience understanding and managing budgets; interpersonal/communication skills; demonstrated competency with information technology including digital resources, online catalogs, the internet, social media sites, mobile devices; commitment to public service; monitors mainstream and professional media. Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, and directs the operations of the branch; responsible for the overall appearance, maintenance and safety of the facility and grounds; supervises branch staff, including hiring, orientation, scheduling, evaluation, training and development; prepares, oversees and monitors the budget; responsible for the overall materials collection development and maintenance; serves as the primary librarian-in-charge of the facility; provides reference and reader’s advisory service as well as technology support to the public. Good fax machine?

I'm considering replacing our fax machine, and could use some suggestions. The biggest problem with our current one is that it has a tendency to catch and try to feed multiple pages at once if there are more than just a few pages, which is a real pain to deal with. The Allen County Public Library is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Operating Officer to support the continued growth and success of our 14-location library system serving Fort Wayne and Allen County, Indiana. As a key member of our executive leadership team, the COO will work in close partnership with the Executive Director to plan, evaluate, and direct the Library’s operations. This role provides comprehensive oversight of major support departments, including Public Services, Information Technology, Youth Services, and System Services. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and innovative leader with a passion for public service, a deep commitment to equity and access, and a strong track record of managing complex organizations. Oxford Public Library (MI) Position Director of Adult Services (This is a management-level position) Nature of the Work Due to retirement the Oxford Public Library seeks an energetic, creative and public service-oriented professional to lead its Adult Services Department. Under the direction of the Library Director & CEO, the Director of Adult Services is responsible for all aspects of administration and management of the department's staff, oversees planning and implementation of a wide variety of library programs, including budgeting and long-range planning, collection development, marketing, social media and compilation of department statistical data. About the Library The Oxford Public Library serves a charming, historical community of 20,000 + residents in northern Oakland County. The library facility itself is approximately 24,000 sq ft and houses a collection-size consistently around 80,000. The library circulates around 230,000 items in a variety of print and electronic formats annually. On average, the library hosts over 660 community-based programs annually that are attended by nearly 22,000 participants. In July of 2025, Oxford Public Library celebrated its 100th anniversary, a true testament to its strong community support and longevity as a respected and iconic community-centered institution. Education & Experience Required: Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university. Five years progressively more responsible professional library experience in a service-oriented setting, with at least 3 years at a supervisory capacity. Proven successful knowledge of library practices, including experience with collection development, departmental scheduling, and tracking departmental budgets. Preferred: Proven knowledge of library automation software, B & T Title Source, online event scheduling software, online newsletters, public pc management software. Salary Salaried/Overtime Exemption, Minimum 40 hours per week. Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000 annually, with starting placement between $60,000 and $70,000 DOQ.
